X6 shock rebound
Im using v2 associated shocks on my x6
What rebound would be recommended for indoor running,carpet/polished surface..1/4 rebound about right? Thanks |

Sounds ok, maybe a little less would be better.
Just make sure when you do them that when you push the shaft in it doesn't get hard at the end of the travel, if so you still have too much oil in and need to get a little more out. E. |

On the subject of shocks,im from a rally x background where we alter droop with a screw located in the bottom arms, is droop (shock length) on the x6 altered using spacers inside the shocks? |

Just a word of advice jaffacake, I would build the shocks up dry, and adjust the limiters (for the rear anyway) on the inside of the shocks, under the piston. I wouldn't think you would need more than about 2-3mm anyway (the assoc white nylon washers are good for this).
Adjust the droop on the inside hole on the wishbone, and inner on the tower, as this should give you the max droop on the car, and add or remove limiter washers until you get the driveshafts in the outdrives, are not falling out (about 2mm in from the end is perfect!) Hope this helps!

Simple tip for easier small droop adjustments: build the shock with an extra 1mm spacer on the inside, then unscrew the shock end 1mm before you put it on the car. Then for small adjustments in droop you can simple screw the shock end completely on (shorter shock, less droop) or an extra mm out (longer shock, more droop). I wouldn't run the shock unscrewed much more than 2mm, but this really helps make small adjustments quick and easy.
