Lightbulb Lipos in mr4bx

How do you guys put lipos in your mr4bx??

Do you need trays? If so where do you get them from?

Also do you need bigger battery strap posts?

Advice/pics would be helpful....

Regards

Default my BXF lipo setup...

here's my lipo setup. Actually the car is with it's 5.5turn X11 Vector so
fast (even with the small pinion) that I now need a 7.5 turn motor,
looking for a X11 or X12 Vector...

What else lipos do fit? especially with higher charge rates...

Default Lipos

I actually ended up buying the diggidy designs lipo holder.

Works well. Fits most of the saddles I have in fact so I think it's a useful investment!

I've gone to a 6.5 t setup with a losi excleorin.

Most of the BRCA/ EFRA batteries will fit relatively comfortably.

I use Vampires, 60c rating. You will need to put a couple of spacers under the post. Work out the height you will need and use a piece of heat shrink over it and the post to create a sung fit without the need for diggity designs. I have never had any issues and I have cartwheeled the old yok more than once

that won't go with the BXF rear top deck... the battery strap would foul the
rear top deck....

would be interesting if 25mm height packs would fit? like the
Losi Xcelorin 5200mAh 7.4V 60C LiPo Saddle Pack which has 24.9 mm

@B4Sloth: which packs do you use?

Default Hmmm

I did consider doing what b4sloth did, but I wanted something slick in the end so plumped for the lipo holder. It comes with spacers aswell. I would imagine it would fit most saddles. I have the robitronics, vampire, intellect, reedy and demon power saddles. They all fit fine!

J created a bridge connector between the two saddles using some 12G wire with 4 mm bullets on each end secured with heat shrink. Works fine and I can remove it to use in my "collection"

I measured... 25mm packs should fit.

there's an intersting IP5400 60C pack...

unfortunately there's no information about charge rates (i.e. 2C)
but my charger is limited to 6A anyway..

.............................

I ordered the IP5400 60C packs - we will see
