Default how often do you rebuild your shocks

As the title says how often do you rebuild your shocks i have been told some drivers rebuild them after each event, how often do you rebuild yours and why?

not as often as i should, the oil does kind of degrade after some time, maybe 4-8 meetings it will get quite dirty and air will creep in. So i tend to do a quick change if i have time for bigger events. I dont tend to bother for club days.

After your tyres, your shocks are probably the most critical part connecting your car to the road, so the more effort you put in, the more return you get. (as i was once told by a Shumacher team driver)

Default Shockers

Well it depends how well they were put together in the first place as they can let you down after one run, especially if a seal has been nipped, on the other hand they can last a while.
It also depends what format you are running them in, fully sealed or emulsion.
As a rule though it is no real hassle to pop them off regularly, remove the springs and see how they feel, all part of the race prep!

Every meeting without fail. A new built shock performs best. I can feel the difference by the end of the meeting. Yes a vented diaphragm shock lasts longer and is much more consistent and still feel fresh at the end of a meeting. This is the way I have gone on my cars but I still rebuild for every meeting as I know my car will work better with new shocks on. New seals every 4 meetings.
I always use green slime and a vacuum pump to remove air.

I rebuild mine after every meeting including fresh oil and grease on the seals. You can really tell a difference on fresh shocks.

Definitely re-build before any bigger events as a rule, but normally around 4 - 5 weeks if just running on club nights indoors.

If racing outdoors after each event, indoors once every six or so race events, less dirt so less rebuilds.

i have a feel during and after a meeting and see if they feel ok, i always build with the same amount of rebound so its fairly easy to tell if they need doing, otherwise it'll be every second meeting unless i am particularly lazy!!
