the weight has a lot of effect on the cars handling, mostly the way the weight will be thrown about, under throttle and braking heavily.

I'm all for geared diffs. I need to run a loose rear diff to keep the corner traction with a 6.5 to keep the pace up. This results in either a cooked slipper or a cooked diff, so the diff has to be compromised. The extra rotating mass has a negligble effect when taking into consideration the size and weight of the wheels and tyres so I wouldn't class it as a dissadvantage. 1/8th and 1/10 nitro on road have been using geared diffs for years and rotating mass is as critical, if not more so for these.

Yes i have two
the original slim 2005 and the new less racy one but am still not sure about the gear diffs for my type of racig as i said earlier but i havent run it yet so may be pleasently suprised....hope so

Rebel RC - any chance of some pics of your proper durango, would love to see it.
Your going to love the geared diffs in the new one - always smooth, loads of drive and the settings are always the same, i think the german team also are producing winning results in 13.5 stock class. |
