Default Control Tyres 2014 Regionals

Control Tyres: The 2014 Southwest Regionals permits only two types of tyre for the rear axle at each venue. Compound and quantity used is not restricted. Front tyres are a free choice.

Trac Torbay - Ballistic Buggy or Schumacher mini pins

Mendip Raceway WCRCC and TRCCC - Schumacher Mini-Spike (Original & Mk.2) and Ballistic Buggy Mini-Spike.

What compound would everyone recommend on the mini spike Tyre or is it a matter of getting all compounds and trying myself? Also if the front tyre is free what would peeps recommend on the front of a 4wd?

The most popular choice is Shumacher Yellow mini spikes or Ballistic Buggy Greens for when wet or damp and Ballistic Buggy whites for when dry! As for 4wd drive fronts again mini spikes matching the rears.

If you are planning to race at our Trac regional then it will be Schumacher Yellow mini pins or Ballistic Buggy White mini pins.

Also on the front of the 2wd Schumacher Yellow staggered ribs or a mini spike of some type if you like lots of steering or wet but the front choice is a free choice on both.

Hope this helps
Martin
