05 Volvo S40 2.0 Sport
Anyone had any experience with these? We're after changing from the Focus and both like this car....
Is it ok for the mrs to drive? She doesn't like huge cars and it has to be easy to park/drive etc, or she will prang it.... Anything i should look out for, problems, etc. Expensive to repair, or fairly comparable to other cars? Cheers |

I've got a V50, and I like it. Been very good over 60k miles in four years, although servicing is a bit pricey. Engine and 'box (2.0D) are very good, and surprisingly nippy for such a large car. EVeryone who gets in it remarks on the 'floating' dash, so it's nice to have something that isn't in a 'cocks' car!!
I am expecting it to be very, very reliable, as everything in it (that you can't see - CD, air con, ABS, gadgets, seat frames, etc, etc,) is Ford Focus, and the chassis is based on the C-Max. So far, that's what's happened... Mrs W (small, but beautifully formed) loves the car, and drives it with gusto. Not keen on the parking, but always seems to do a great job wherever she leaves it. Thanks for your opinions guys, just waiting on the local garage to get one in now, they seem fairly rare on the second hand market.
