Arrow Cat sx2 NO Eccentric; CNC Alloy ???

Just been looking closely at the new cat sx2 as iam thinking of getting along with the sv.
But i see altho they have the Eccentric; CNC Alloy in the parts list they dont seem to be on the car on the site?.
Just wondering if anybody know if they will come in the kit or we have to buy as a OPTION part,if so i think that stinksand i bet its to do with cost.
Thanks.

I noticed that too but the car seems to be competitively priced so it's not all bad. I'm still getting one

I believe the kit will come with a plastic eccentric, obviously with the alloy one being an option.

A question of price.

The Tamiya TRF511 has got plastic and it work fine. Every single TC car too. Do not bother me anyway. I actually like it. The car looks more "cleaned up". Not small pieces of purple everywhere mixed with black plastic. Purple is girly

The SX2 is £30 cheaper than the SX, and yet has better shocks. At the risk of stating the obvious, the savings have to come from somewhere.

Would look much better in green! Heard geniuses favourite colour is green if you ask one.

True story!

And Matt, that is true but no extra development cost went into the new car exept for the shock that was developed together with the 2wd. Thats why the pricetag is not that big between the 2wd and 4wd. Just guessing. And it is a lot cheaper to use plastic instead of CNC alloy. A whole lot cheaper. God for customer and and not nessecarly a bad thing with plastic.

The shock was initially developed for the Cat. When I first tested the Cougar it didn't have big shocks on it - and there was actually some debate as to weather they would fit! (they were fitted by the end of that day though )

Molded stuff will be cheaper once you have paid for the mold tool. I don't know how much this stuff costs, but it isn't likely to be cheap. I guess in the long term they are happy that the plastic bits will work out cheaper.

Im tempted to build a SX1/SX2 hybrid car and sell on the second one with the plastic bits and bobs. The front hangers - i understand that these are going to be plastic too ? I have heard that they bend easily when made of alloy. However, the hangers on the Mi4 are plastic and the Shuey drivers at our club seem to break them pretty regularly.

I think there will be a few hybrids around i know mine will be.. i'll be keeping as much purple alloy as possible tho, havn't replaced a single alloy part yet in the 6 months or so ive been racing my catsx.. the stegger brace helped on that side for sure.
