Worked a treat, get it done

there are 8 small circle indents on the "top hat" bit and i sanded until they was flat. Internal gear mesh is good still and the gearbox casing is now tightened up and its spins free. no more drag.

Yep



Sanded this down till the surface was flat. (this is my spare, the sanded one is in the car)

Ran the car today aswell and all worked good

That works but makes the diff itself a little tighter...
I didnt want to open the diff again as it was freshly built so I took a knife and cut off some plastic in the inside of the gear box on both sides where the bearing is. Maybe it would be easier with a dremel but it was late at night and I needed to make it work.
