Default Turnbuckle thread too small

I bought some of the optional 53mm turnbuckles (U1573) and when i put the ball joint on from the kit turnbuckle you can just push it on the diameter at one end is less than normal. Have i just got a rouge one or has anybody had the same problem ?

I keep saying this, any faults then do email Schumacher. Its good to know about it on here too but they won't action anything unless you get intouch directly, please let us know the outcome too.

I quite agree - had an issue with one part in my kit and phoned Schumacher...they took it very seriously and asked me to post the defective part back (which I was more than happy to do) for "investigation" and a (good) replacement turned up in the post the day after I phoned

I had the same problem with mine. Were they the purple ones? On the longest setting they could be turned with my finger and thumb whilst on the car. I think i will give them a buzz tomorrow and see what they can do. To be fair though, i met Phill Booth at the weekend and told him of a small problem i had with my Cat. He helped me out straight away.Top man.

The Cat SX is an awesome machine, and now a lot of the manufacturing isn't done on site like it used to be - quality control goes with it to some extent. But that doesn't make the SX any less awesome as, from experience Schumacher are top notch, and although its worth telling people on here to watch out for a particular defective part - do inform Schumacher directly.

if anyone isn't sure then do PM me, or any other team driver, or approach any one of us at the track. I'll always give 100% to anybody asking for advice, and sometimes to people who don't ask.

Just as an update. I had some 53mm turnbuckles that i had a problem with a few weeks ago. I sent Schumy a letter after talking to them on the phone about my problem and they have returned some new ones that are now fine at no cost. Very good customer service. This is the reason why i went to a UK car company. (not the only reason though)

I'm in the process of building the Cat sx2 and one of the 58mm turnbuckles has a small thread that the ballsocket just slips on an off. I've contacted schumacher and they have pretty much just said thanks for letting us know, but have not offered to replace the part.

I've since ordered a titanium replacement and am waiting for it to arrive.
