2wd Newbie in the Winter?
Hi All,
After a few years running 4wd, I fancy a change but is it the right time of year? What will it really be like running 2wd, outdoors, on Astro in Winter as a newbie? Should I stick to 4wd until Spring and swap then? Thoughts please. Thanks! |

It depends how many 4wd drivers attend the clubs you are thinking to join.
Stotfold don't have many 4wd drivers at present, Herts is a bit better, but don't run as often as Stotfold There are more 2wd than 4wd that's for sure |

Ho for it - 2wd on wet/damp astro will teach you lots of throttle control. Dont go mad with the motor (13.5t can be faster) and use your esc settings and slipper to make it easy to drive.

Make sure you have wet weather tyres, I use Schumacher silver Darts on the rear, Silver cut staggers on the front when its wet on Astro, but you will need to check if the club you race at use a control tyre and make your tyre choice depending on that.
