I ran my Cougar at TORCH for the 1st time last weekend and ended up the highest placed Cougar. I will post a full setup when I return from holiday but will list the main points for you below.

Shocks, front. 5 hole pistons 35WT oil 4.5 spring.
Rear. 5 hole pistons 30WT oil 2.5 spring.

Tyres, stagger rib fronts. Yellow mini spike rear.
-2.0 Deg camber front and back.
Front wishbones reversed, medium wheel base setting (try running in long wheel base to start with).

As I say when I return from holiday I will post a full setup sheet.

Feel free to PM me any questions,
James.

Just wondering would any one be so kind as to point me in the direction of a rough set up I can put on the car before I turn up for the first time???!! Would rather concentrate on my driving and getting back into things first time back rather than messing around changing oil and pistons every round!!!

What setups are people using on the new track? Shall we get this thread lively again?

Exclamation Mad Rat set up etc

Hello all.
This is my first post on this site and new to RC cars and/or my 6 year old son.
A couple of weeks ago you was kind enough to let my son on the track after racing had finished, he had a great time didn't crash too much, the car is standard as it came out the box. The car had tyres issues.
My first question is can you recommend tyres ( front and back) suitable for this surface/track someone did mention Schumacher yellow or blue would these be mini spike?
my 2nd question I tried to set the car up as per the manufactures instruction but I have been told the car is not set up right (not enough toe in) I would be grateful is you can give me a rough guide of what is a good basic set up (if there is such thing a basic setup) toe-in/out camber angle, spring setting, diff , clutch etc. etc. I have seen a set up for a x-pro car but didn’t give information on toe settings
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer
Ian

Check this thred out it will explain all, mini spike yellow rear and staggered slim Schumacher front. My advise would be to get down to torch and ask people this is what I done when I started they are really helpfull and its all about trial and error!!!!!

Can anyone tell me how to enlarge this photobucket image so I can read it? On my PC screen it's about 30mm x 50mm.

I tried pasting it onto a word document and enlarging it but it just came out blurred.

Thanks.
