Default Most Durable 4x4

Hi all,

My nephew has had a slash 2wd for a couple years and wants to "upgrade"...I think he's looking at the slash 4x4.

He doesn't race (just bashes) and though I'd love to be proven wrong he already has about 800 hobbies so I doubt he needs something that will be competitive on the track, however I do have a couple questions:

1. Coming from a slash 2wd is the 4x4 a good upgrade? He uses std electrics in the 2wd so will the std 4wd have enough extra speed? I know handling wise the 4wd will really help but I am guessing he'll want some speed too!!

2. Is there a more durable truck out there? My brother doesn't really have time for maintenance so really want the truck which will be best at staying in one piece (as long as it still kills the 2wd!!)?

Cheers all!

Stick with the 2wd. The 4wd,althow ballistic fast, breaks alot easier in the front end.
