D200 D300
I have been offerd good money for my d200 so do i sell and get the d300
and put two, every one says the d300 is ace but has any one had both in ther hands together and compaired end results side by side. like how much sharper how much better is the colour the only advantage i can see is the iso is far better for graning the most important part is the photo so if the actual photo is better straight of the camera then its a winner for me the lenses i use are nikkor 50 1/4 af nikkor 60 macro af nikon 80-400 af vr |

I 'held' a d300 and had a go but that's about it. I sold my D200 to get a D3. I think the D200 is the best camera I've owned, just in terms of how nice it is to use and the results it comes out with. The D300 makes more sense maybe than the D3 for me, but I wanted to give the FX format a go - ace camera don't get me wrong but the smaller body of the d2/300 is nicer for me.
I don't think you'll be generally getting better images / sharpness / colour because the D200 is already awesome - but the iso performance is better and the focusing is a lot quicker. |
