Default Another good turnout

Good nights racing possibly also a few new members
Good feedback received about staggered starts and we will definately stay with them as everybody agreed this is the best and safest way to race

Definately a good night. I got to finish a race!

That ansmann is coming every week with me as a just in case, i use it each time lol.

One question however, do we have any club cars? The kind that new people can have a try of if looking to get into it / return?

Default Club cars

We do not have club cars as I actually gave a car to the club a couple of years ago but soon found out it was a big mistake as each week it just got wrecked and cost a fortune to keep repairing
So now it's up to members to offer people a go of theirs
I usually have a spare mardave which I keep to give people a go of but unfortunately my spare transmitter got broke so until I get a new one I won't be bringing it

I got this club car idea stuck in my head now but struggling to structure the argument for one well.

Basically, we have a load of members, what if we made a club car from donated / unwanted parts? As such - free car!

We wouldn't want a quick club car as this would lead to a loss of control and damage - as such, a simple brushed setup would likely suffice.

We could even modify the car to ensure maximum durability. (bigger bumper kind of thing)

I'd happily weigh in, I got parts that are just no use or value to me anymore:
  • Hobbytech HT1 chassis
  • Brushed Motor, 21 Turn
  • Nosram Eletrak brushed ESC (no reverse)
  • 27 mhz Stick transmitter (nothing fancy)
  • 27 mhz receiver (no spare crystals I'm afraid)

Obviously if we took stock of everything offered, we could look to make 1 good car with possible spares. This gives people who turn up unannounced - something to have a go of (especially when they turn up with children).

Just a thought...
