You will need new bearing and I think the gear case will be two small.

Yes it fits fine. the B5M idle gear is about 0.5mm wider than the SC10 diff, but it doesn't make any horrible noises when run.

If its only wider then it can be shimmed.
What about diameter?

Can anyone actually tell what the exact differences between the b5m geardiffs and the b4.1 (sc10) ones are?

Anyone have any idea if the b5m geardiff will fit the centro c4.2 moulded gearbox?

The SC10 one has a slight lip to the larger half where the teeth meet the edge whereas it looks like the B5M one doesn't.

Also looks like the teeth mesh is different too.

AFAIK the B5M geared diff would fit into the C4.2, although have no way to testing this to confirm sorry.

I've just fitted a SC10 gear diff in my B5M last night.
in comparition, the ball diff is a bit wider and the crown gear is a bit larger two.
anyway, it's in, and it seem to work quite well. the teeth look a bit different, and the noise coming out of the gear box is slightly louder... nothing serious.
i'll put it to the test tomorrow night
filled with 3000wt oil

1st test OK but it takes a thicker oil than my Losi
I'll try something up to 10000wt probably
