Default tamiya 2011 black help

hi all i have just got my self a tamiya Avante 2011 blake ltd
as bin wonting one since the 1980s but never had the money to get one.
and i wont to race it at my locall club
is there anything i can add to it to make it any better for handalling
would like to put better shox on it but not shour if the tamiya trf ones will fit allso wot wheels do i need as the kit ones are to small for 2.2 tyres

any help would be very helpfull

Maybe wrong but I think tamiya starfish wheels fit it

So then has no one modified and raced the avante ?

Also is it worth moding the front end so it's more like the egress ?

you have answerd your own question the egress was the racers choice back in the day.

do any of you no if the trf dampers will fit this car ?
also where can i get the egress front bottom damper holders the little alloy bits the shox clip on as its the only bit i need as my mate at
full-option can do me the front tower.
