Dont buy it!

ON slippery tracks on 6 min run time its between 10-15 sec slower than with ball diff.

I tested a lot of things with the gear diff, but nothing works well as a ball diff in 2wd

In 4wd especially durango it works better because the gear diff cant slip and you can use thicker oils to tune it.

But in 2wd, except on carpet, you are slower with the gear diff.

I took out whatever oil I had in mine and replaced it with Ansman diff grease, and literally spooned it in!

Worked ok, I cant say if its any quicker or not I am just running it to see if its any less work for us lazy types.

Other point is that even though its Ae are metric the screws to keep teh diff together are metric.

Thx for that input!

I expected this would be the case... great for new beginner though, much easier do deal with than a ball diff.

And should be OK for 4WD on high grip tracks as you say.

the problem is, that in 2wd the diff should set "light and smooth, that is very important - so thicker oil like 5000 cst is undriveable for 2wd, i tested afrom 25 to 50 wt damper silicon oil, and 50 was very critic to drive.

We use torsen diff in 1/8 scale buggy, thats a tuned gear diff with "diff lock". That would be an opportunity, but to expensive for 1/10 scale racing.

Trust me, in 2WD the ball diff is much better than gear diff. So AE team driver use the ball diff in the SC10, because it s faster.

Default bearing size

The bearing needed for this tranny part number listed above is ASC9832. Its not 5mm thick. But it is 10 x 16. I ordered the parts list mentioned above. Everything worked except the bearings. Now it will be right!.. after I re-order bearings.
