In the first picture... is that a near gearbox? whats with the metal spacers between the case and the motor mount? Also... on the other side theres some sort of bracegoing to the battery strap? Whats that about?

same gearbox, motor plate is just spaced out for some reason
in the second pic the brace on the battery strap is just a home made fan mount if you look again

Thats Kinwald's car, not much stock items in there. Costom braces, costom front shocktower and ballend mounts. Not quite sure on the spacers, as his motormount is costum aswell. Maybe he moved the motor a little for better left/right balance.

I'm pretty sure about spacers, better balance. Tried that in my x6 but you must check first motorplate/slipper clearance.

in the picture though, on the right hand side (motor mount side) theres a yellow piece of... plastic? i thought that was the mount for the fan... i mean the carbon fibre brace which is screwed into the gearcase on the opposite side to the motor mount and then it seems to bolt onto the battery strap with a blue servo mount? surely thats not a fan mount? (in the picture it looks like a CF brace which is next to the motor wires)

There are two photos, one Brian's car, the other Paul's. Paul's car (the one with only one antenna) is completely production -- anyone who purchases an X - 6 Squared will get a car exactly like Paul's.

Brian, on the other hand, never met a part upon which he could not improve. Without actually asking him, I think that every single part on Brian's car has been touched in at least one spot by his Dremel. And it's well-known that Brian is the most innovative guy in R/C. He makes hundreds of new parts every year -- we only see a the ones that work. So even on our brand new X - 6 Squared, there are BK innovations all over the place.

And, yes, some of his innovations on display here are in the pipeline as Dirtz Dialled Partz, the first one due out mid-February and the next a few weeks later. But what you see on Paul's car is production. D.D.P., like E-Speed, is optional.

Looks very nice but I'm not going to buy it. I have already 2 X6's so 3 would be a little to much

Chazz, silly question but why is Brian running two antennas? looks a bit weird.

The tall one is not an antenna. It's a blue glow stick. Car is major cool out on the track. Very easy to find in a crowd...

What is the reason for re-designing the rear arms?

Congrats for the new shell, it looks waaaay better (sorry SHY) but it's still unmistakable (sp?).

The new arms were designed for two main reasons,

1. We needed a new mould anyway, our existing mould had seen a LOT of use and was getting tired due to the demand on that toll to produce the 1,000's of arms that were asked of it,

2. Well if we are going to make a new tool then how could we improve on what we have, well it would always be handy if any single wishbone (control arm, sorry Chazz) would fit either side of the car, now it can, since they are no longer handed and perfectly straight (no bend any longer) - shock mounting hole psotioning has been adjusted on our new rear tower to compensate to keep the rear geomtry EXACTLY the same as before on the older X6

The quality too of the mould means that you now get a fantastic clean and crisp wishbone every time............

They have been redesigned to be flat and not raised at the ends so there is no left and right wishbones, so if you break one and have bought a spare pair then you will still have one spare for either side instead of having to buy another pair for the origional X6 if you break say two right hand side wishbones and only have left hand ones spare which you can't use... understand? lol

the shell looks slightly adjusted too am i right? The scoops at the back are now on both sides instead of just the left hand side on the origional shell?

Thanks guys. Yes, the new wishbones-arms look the business. Is it still the same wheelbase? Original arms were rather swept-forward... not so symetrical.

Mike : I see also more 'squared' windows, unless it comes from the painting.

The wheelbase is still the same. The arms still have the 'sweep' just not the 'kink' in the arm, so they can be used on both sides.

The shell has been 'squared' up. The main changes are to the window and rear vent, both of which have been spotted already.
