Cheers guys

jus more question why are the old springs prefered to the new ones?

i was lead to believe they are the same stiffness as their newer counter parts but could be wrong.

Dude, i don't know what the fuss is about the old springs to be honest. As long as you stick to either all new springs, or all old springs, you'll be laffin.

The new springs I think have too many coils too tightly wound. So when the shock compresses the spring goes out of shape and it feels like you don’t get the same consistent dampening that you get with the old spring that have less and more open coils.

That set is the long set - medium's are generally the choice for the rear of the SX - you can't go low enough with long ones and std shocks.

both old and new front have the same amount of coils(8.5) front Grey, but the old ones are 47.5mm long new ones are 41.5mm long so the coils on the old ones are further apart,
new red rear have 11.5 coils and 57.5mm long old red have 10.5 coils and are 55.5mm long, so to look at both old seem to have a bigger gap between coils,Matty has tried both back to back, but at the mo says he prefers new.but this could change lol

only used old grey fronts and old reds at all the nationals this year.
Can't be to bad, buy one pair for the front one pair for the rear thats all you need.
