Nice one Jason, is this one a keeper?

Default Losi v yoko

The main difference I have found is the yz2 has loads of steering and the losi
Pushes on power but the losi has loads more rear grip, the yz2 seems to have
Zero grip for the first 1 metre from a standing start then there's loads.
so its all depends on what your driving style is like.
I still like how the vbc firebolt handles which is like as losi and the yz2 put together good steering and loads of drive.

Interesting...
I hope to get a little more steering out of the 22 3.0 vs the Firebolt, which I loved on dirt but not at all on dry high-grip astro. I used to have the same gripes about the B5M with the 4-gear transmission, but hopefully the 3.0's 3-gear gearbox will give the car a little more on-power steering. As it looks I'll take both the YZ-2 and the 3.0 to Limburg this Friday, will see how it goes.

I noticed a massive improvement in the steering , into and out of corners by using the long VLA. mid corner though it does sometimes feel like its trying to go in a straight line.
I also am using the 20degree kickup rather than the 25

But with the long VLA i felt it was more to my taste as I was almost able to slide the back out through the corners at speed but maintain control.
may go back to the 25degree kickup to see if i can balance it out

Yes go long vla and put 27.5 oil in front shocks and longest link think 1-b on front loads more steering and still plenty rear end I also ran yz-2 for a year and the 22-30 is for me much much better

As traction is pretty high on the carpet tracks I usually run on, I went to 500/400 (approx 40/32.5) with 1.6 pistons all around and some relatively stiff springs (Yokomo B-Max red/green), ride height 17 mm/18 mm. I'll definitely switch to long VLA before heading to Limburg, thanks for your input!

Back from some back-to-back testing in Limburg. Everything turned out as expected and I am happy with both cars. After some smallish set-up changes, the 22 3.0 was pretty quick and consistent with tons of forward bite, but the YZ-2 was definitely faster (0.8 s between both cars' fastest laps). Can't wait to test the 3.0 in looser conditions. I am positive it will be great in the wet or on sandy astro!
