Last outdoor of 2010 tonight

Well, tonight is the final outdoor meeting of 2010 . It doesn't seem that long ago that we were emptying the shed of all the equipment and transporting it to the Rugby Club.

I think we've had the best outdoor season for many years. The change to the new venue has resulted in stronger driver numbers throughout the summer months; even with the wet weather that we have experienced recently we have sustained a good level of attendance. The new venue has also allowed us to run bigger tracks that have been easier to set up compared with the previous outdoor venue, and the floodlights also allowed us to keep racing after dark last week.

So, as from next week (3rd Sept) we will return to racing indoors at West Bridgford School. The classes & rules are posted elsewhere on here and on wbmcc.com. Doors will open from 6pm and racing will start from 7.00pm sharp.

We have also invested in some new equipment for the winter, including some new ramps (now completed & being dry-stored in a secret location in Ruddington; Lloyd's kitchen...), a complete new carpet and a new race control programme complete with announcements from "West Coast Wendy" (or something like that).
