Yeah got Tekin RS and SP 6.5T in mine.. seems more than plenty!.. Yeah may invest in the lower weight skid.. as hate the plastic one's. And specially when its a tad icy and wet.. back end could have been a tad more planted.. so may try one for next time. Yeah I would get the servo arm.. no heard of anyone have issues after putting one in tbh.. cant see any harm.. just need to be a tad more careful regarding the servo's.

Did think about the rear weight, but didn't fit it.

What else have you upgraded?

Indoors for the 410 this weekend with I expect big jumps. Eeek

Yeah tbh the towers are only because I trimmed down the R tower's like some do. And stupidly mucked it up, so people recommended the AC one's. There not cheap, but look and feel very good quality.. got the new rear one with the added camber hole.

Yeah I think I have the basics thats needed covered.. next are smallish thing's.. that are nice to have... probe new cups ect too.. as 1 popped off after racing..

Well, looking at the results and considering it was my first time racing, I dont think I did too bad.

At least my mad rat was still in one peace at the end of the day and all in all I enjoyed racing at Torch.

Thanks everyone for helping me out and explaining how the heats, rounds and finals run.

Looking forward to racing next Sunday.

James

Found a few problems with me car when i got home mainly shock related.
Maybe next week i'll move up from the B final

Guys

The track was wetter and did not dry anywhere, the grip level was much less than last week.

The 410 is a little unpredictable at high speed cornering, either need to start doing some set up or run the tamiya next time?

Good day and well done to everyone for being there usual relaxed group of racers.

See you in 2 weeks.

Thanks Steve

The shock bottoms with the ball stud in had stopped pivoting so the shock could not pivot properly makeing the return very slow, also going to try without the shock boots on.
I thought the track was a bit drier but there was a lot more green fuzz on my car this time. I did'nt see rooster tales of water coming up like last week and my car was drier, but hey what do i know about it i'm rubbish

Definitely wetter this week once the thaw happened. Car as all over the place till I found the magic tyre combo (and stopped driving like a tw4t). I managed my first pair of eight lap runs, so was made up with that... had a couple of good scaps with Cammers to sweeten the whole thing.

Big thanks to Mike, Steve and everyone else involved in running another great days racing.
