Last time I raced there I was still in bed during my final - that's how low I qualified. I wasn't impressed with spending all day there after missing my pre-dawn final

I believe entries are still being accepted before Phil goes through them. No doubt there will be some dropping out as well so its probably worth filling an entry in anyway!

the meeting is still over 5 months away

the very fact that so many people want to do it is a good measure of how good a meeting it will be!
the DXR guys build an awesome track at a unique venue thats perfect* for an event like this. the meeting runs flawlessly due to the team used to run race control (basically the BRCA 8th people plus Rob Nelson) that along with Phil & his site Neo-Buggy that pulls in quality racers from all over the world ensure this meeting has very quickly become the highlight of the year! true buggy supercross!

i suppose the only way to make it more like supercross would be to use a dropgate for the start but the first corner carnage just wouldn't be worth it LOL
can you imagine 12-14 cars all hitting the first corner at the same time?
sod marshalling that!

good organisation, great track, all star cast of racers & its in the UK so we can race there! it doesn't get better than that

Phils giving everyone plenty of time to make arrangements & find out if they can attend, the foreign guys have a bit more to organise than use so it s easier for Phil to have people definitely coming rather than people letting him down a week or a day to go!

the awaiting confirmation/invite list is being added to every day so check your emails if you have registered your interest, mine was in my junk folder when i looked yesterday so check there too!

*perfect venue.
well for those that haven't been yet its held at an agricultural college & the actual track is in the largest indoor soil hall in Europe! (yes actual soil, not loose sandy stuff like an equestrian arena!) this is pretty much a controlled environment that keeps the track surface very consistant through the whole meeting. it doesn't blow out like many dirt tracks do after a lot of traffic! tyre wear is minimum, M3's last ages!
loads of room for indoor pitting in the hangar right next door to the track.
240v sockets & screens displaying live race information will be dotted about.
very cheap accomodation in the student halls that are a short walk from the track & all have private bathroom, well shower anyway.
cheap beer at the student union bar, needs no further explanation.

i've got a semi now just thinking about it!

hopefully see some of you there

i think Phil is checking various results etc so people who've done a bit of 8th stand a much better chance than somebody who's not

if your names appear in reasonable positions at some reasonably good 8th meetings you should be in with a sniff

i know a few people have tried blagging their way in & been put right below the bottom of the pile LOL

as for G i think there must have been some kind of bribery?

I haven`t tried the blagging, but i really dont have any notable results as its my first year @ 1/8th and it was a steep learning curve early on.

Elec is so much easier

I think G got in because he wipes in a stu evans stylee

This is going to be the race of the year, easily. So many cool ideas have been put in, and so much work by DXR and Phil. I decided not to race this (Neo06 and ProLine at DXR have pretty much used my spares budget for life lol) so I'll be down covering it for Neo. So will be at least two full race reports of the event now
