Default Newbee. Hello

Hi All,

Been reading all you info on Madrat Pro etc over the last couple of nights and you all have convinced me to buy one to compete with this year in Cornwall.

I have been around RC racing for a while racing 2wd buggies, mainly associated and Schumacher, but also addicted to Dave circuit racing, Anyway my question is has the Pro X been with drawn? saw some threads of model shops selling that at £80 any more of these bargins about.

Already purchased the mid motor conversion kit.

Thanks for now.

Stevie G.

Don't think the X-Pro has been withdrawn... but I agree you can't seem to buy it in the UK atm...

However if you already have the conversion kit you could use that with a Madrat. You'd have to up-grade the shocks and turnbuckles a little but apart from that the cars are virtually the same.

If you still want a pro chassis to start with then you'd probably be best ordering up a SX10 2w from TQ.

If you want the pro kit and there's none in stock local, just get the $99 TC02 from Kong Kong

Guys,

Thanks for the advice.

Going to see if I can pick up a set of reasonable shocks off Ebay over the next couple of days. If I can I will go with a Madrat, if not I will order a Pro X, I guess this will be cheaper in the long run.

Cheers for now

StevieG...

Im not sure whether any more xpros are getting imported into the country due the soon arrival of the X2 rear motor: http://www.ar-rc.com/?p=43

I know that JE spares are already selling the Team Edition

Yeh I have been looking at that.

I idea of competing with a relative cheap car (Madrat) appeals to me. I know it will need upgrading but I have had enough racing a B4 against about 12 other B4's in the club and the odd RB5 and Pro SV.

X6 conversion if you already have a b4. Or use your associated b4 shocks on the madrat?

Sold the B4 so I am starting a fresh as it were. Bidding on some Losi shock atm on Ebay.

Just been thinking though what are the shock lengths on the Mad Rat. From memory the B4 were 70mm at the front and the rear are about 100mm. I guess the Madrat would be the same?

The madrat shocks are around 72-93mm I believe. No problem running B4 or Losi shocks, lot's of people do it.

65-70mm 95-100mm will work just fine for length.
