Default Just put new rx in car

...and came across a bit of a problem, not did I have a mare binding it (not that that's the bit that's getting on my wick, oh no).

I'm running a HW 120 esc, was used for one race meet in November last year at the MK gp, and my car broke in the final so not touched it since, as I've been after a new radio (sanwa/ko etc) to replace my Core Code system, anyway, no bargains later so I bit the bullet and bought a new rx.

Bound it up but now when I turn the car on, it throttles up for about 5 seconds untill it finds itself, it's getting on my tits a bit.

Do you think it could be a rx issue or to do with the esc?

Thanks in advance

A bit basic maybe, but if you fit a new rx you have to reset the tx to it,after binding it.

it may be that the fail safe position is set with the throttle on a little, i know that with my spektrum system i have to set the failsafe position when i bind it together, but dont know much about the core setup

I had a similar problem, iirc it had to be bound with the throttle at full brake.

thanks all for your suggestions

Wolfie, I dont recall there being a failsafe setting on the Core radio, I checked today when I got home from the track.

I also tried JCs suggestion of reversing the throttle on the tranny, still the same, and resetting the esc to the tranny, nothing has worked so far.

I'll be gratefull for any more suggestons.

Will bring it with me to Torch next week for anyone wishing to have a nosey.

Lionel
had to do Stuarts Core Tx the other week after he blew up his esc and they are a pain, they are a one button push and hold then wait for lights!
1) Press set button and turn on the Rx switch hold button and wait for the light to go solid red.
2) Full throttle and wait for light to turn solid green.
3) Full brake and wait again
4) Back to neutral position and wait again for light to go solid
Then switch off and hopefully it has set first time!

hi Chris

I reset the throttle to the esc, I even read the instructions again to refresh my memory, Neutral 1st, then forward, then brake. It does the same thing whether my tranny is in normal or reverse

I'm all out of ideas now. will bring it sunday unless I proper lose my rag and the lump hammer comes out
