Default Issu with ball cups on the 210

Last night the car was going well apart from 2 things.

1/ The ball cup seems to pop off the steering rack very easily.

2/ The rear ball cup that pops onto the left hub also comes off very easily. The slightest tap i recieved yesterday saw it pop off twice.

Has anybody else found them week and if so what ones did you replace them with.

Had the same problem, with no servo saver it will keep popping off.
I changed my steering links to RPM cups and it hasnt popped off since.
The key to keeping the TD cups on is once youve popped them on when building, not to take them off, take the ball off instead when tuning.
So i would replace all the cups with new ones, and dont take them off.

Duncan, check the posts re 410 ball cups as they are the same. There has been a lot of talk on this subject with most people having problems with them, there are alternatives mentioned on the aforementioned posts. Kristian has tried some alternative balls and cups which he reports favourably on.

anyone running the straight ball cups have issues with the rear inner camber link on the 210?

the standard ball cup is bent to clear the gear box. does the straight ball cups still have clearance?

thanks

I've put 3mm spacers under the outer rear ball stud to clear the gear box. But I haven't run the car like this yet. I'm using straight rpm ball cups.

JConcepts makes some bendy ball cups but they seem way too long. The Durango cups were good for about 2 months. But then they started popping off all the time.
