Thanks alcyon! These photos are a result of trial and error (and many years of playing with DSLR cameras)

Thank you Gayo! I have not thought of the toe-in setup at all. Just followed the manual and you know... this will not be a runner anyway

Absolutely! And it also gives me memories every time I look at it. The Turbo Optima was my first serious R/C as a kid (not this sample though).

Nice car, just managed to get one myself, thought mine was the first optima, but it looks the same as yours, what makes it a turbo?

Mainly gold shocks and bearings, but you had also on the Turbo box a 240S motor, a motor guard, a chassis protection, beefier arms, a kind of slipper clutch, antiroll bars, front universals...

Aaah memories

Brings back memories!
I never recall having the optionhouse gold shocks or anti roll bar!
Then again it was a long time ago!
ended up using Rc shocks and doing the belt conversion!
Wish I still had her!

LOTS of cleaning work in this project even if the car it self was in good condition behind all the dust

It didn't look like this when I bought it. The seller on Ebay took bad pictures of the car and I thought it was another runner. When I got it I was surprised for sure.

Thanks! Here is a picture if the car taken right after arrival. Got it from a seller in the US and I was the only bidder. Starting bid was $129 if I recall correctly. The seller took crappy mobile phone photos of it so it was hard to see its condition. It may not have been run at all. Despite that, lots of work and cleaning behind the shape it is in now

Thank you jimmy!

The Optima family are great cars!

I will update this thread with more pictures when the body is painted. Also, more build threads will be posted because I have more Optimas waiting for restoration
