It has to be between Dave Spashett and Craig Drescher, purely on the length of time they have been at the very top.

Others who I would put up there as the best are Kevin Moore(loads of national titles!), Jamie Booth, Phil Davies and Andy Dobson - unbeatable in the 80s until he disappeared to the USA.

That was the prototype car too and by the time the production one came out it was fairly different, mainly weighing about twice the amount - i ran it for CML that year as did Lee and it was an absolute dog, only place i had any success was at the Euro's in 98 where i qualified 6th, the weather really helped me out that day.... What's your real name as it sounds like we must have been racing around the same time??

For me the greatest driver is still Craig, purely for his consistency and as Jimmy said to still be able to make a Euro A after not racing off road for ages is seriously impressive.

After brief discussion today we suggested that Hugh Hefner probably has the best thumb skills in the world.

I would agree with that. I'm slightly biased towards saying Dave Spashett, simply because I race 12th circuit... and his display at the worlds in '98 was pretty spectacular.
