Default Cougar SV change inner gears?

Hi,
I run my cougar with the standard inner gears.. and with pinion 25 and spur 80.
I drive with a Nosram pure evolution 7,5turns.

But my motor is always getting too hot...
What do i have to change ?

thx

could be geared too high. from the sounds of a 8.26 FDR that's probably it... try a 23 pinion and see how that goes.

what sort of track is that on? indoor/outdoor?

I ran 8.45 FDR in the cat on sunday at kiddy without any temp problems, but it was really cold outside

Your gearing is way too high. I run a 7.5 also at a indoor track. 20 pinion and 82 spur....its a bullet and the temps never get above 130-140

In Charleroi i was running 28/76 with standard inner-gears.

However the motor was 8.5 Speed passion with LRP Stock Spec on program 7.

Indoor there will create more heat then running elswhere.

But what feels hot to the hand could be very reasonable to the temp-gun .
If you like you can always use mine next trophy in Charleroi.

@Nathan, could you send me your setup aswel please?
So i can see what to try next time.
