Hi Guys,

My friend has re-installed the software and it seems to have taken this time as lights are coming on and noise is emitted.

Lets hope all is well. Thanks to all that replied/posted to my thread.

Cheers
Paul

Good News, it's not dead. I connected the hotwire, defaulted the settings, then took it back to 212. It seemed to work ok then, so I tried the v223 update again, which worked great this time. Set the required settings and have now given it back to Paul to run, after we calibrated it to his radio.

Default RS in 210

Hi guys.
Just looking for a little help with my durango 210 motor esc set up.
Currently running an RS with a Orion 7.5 on 24/81 gearing on outdoor grass.I seem to be slow on the straights compared to others who are running 8.5 motors with no adv timing etc.
I am running Randys 8.5 210 set up.
Does anyone know what endbell timing i should be running with the Orion vortex ?
Running a 6.5 redlind with a RS pro in my 410 and it is a rocket in comparison.

Ok, I run either a 7.5 or 8.5 in my 210 90% of the time. On the 8.5 make sure you're in sensored only mode. This is where I run my 2wd all the time. If the track requires a bit more power simply increase to the next "Timing profile" on the unit. Make sure you're also using 223 software.

Thanks Randy
Just on the motor it is timed at std (as shipped) would this be right ?
I am going to try a Redline 7.5 this weekend what should the endbell be set at ( 10/12 ) i assume.
Does the gearing seem right at 24/81.
Thanks again.

Yes our motor ship at 12 degrees. Your gearing is ok for most 1/10 sized tracks depending on layout.

Randy - am I correct in assuming from your comment that Dual Mode is more favourable for around 7.5 and less wind motors and sensored for higher wind motors?

That's interesting. Is there a particular reason for this, e.g. smoother running versus overheating?

I should say I tried sensored mode on my 5.5 and 6.5 motors in both 2WD and 4WD and found that they ran too hot and when I converted to Dual I had no more issues with over heating. However, after that experience I've always run in Dual - even my 8.5, perhaps I should try that again in sensored mode.

It's feel and power. In sensored mode motor timing counts in the equation where in dual mode it does not. I've always preferred dual mode in 4wd but Sensored mode in 2wd I prefer sensored only mode. In dual mode you're limited to 30 degrees of total timing regardless of where the motor is.

In sensored you can go far past this if you needed to.

I will hook up my RS from my tourer later, I was running it with a 13.5 in 10.5 class, super smooth and run's cool.

Hello.

Do you have a setup for the rspro with a 7.5t lrp?

I run it on a medium astrotrack in a Losi 22.

I have downloaded the newest software 223.

Friendly.

Arne

Just a quick question i'm running a RS Pro with a G2 brushed motor.

At the minute i'm getting zero brake effect.

Can anyone help. And yes i know this esc is overkill for what i have at the minute, this is just a stop gap until the 21.5 brushless motor comes.

Well some of the older software worked better in brushed mode. 223 isn't the best for brushed.

When applying brakes do the led's show brake movement from the radio?
