www.rclipos.com I've used them a few times now.
Excellent service, and they don't sell crap LiPOs. The Hyperion VX range are the best value for money, whilst for ultimate performance either the Thunderpower G4 45C LiPOs or the PolyRC 43C LiPOs are the ticket. Free (fast) shipping and good prices. If you send them an email and are planning on buying mulitple LiPOs, they'll probably give you a discount. |

Marvin, are any of the packs they sell BRCA legal? Couldn't see any mention in that link of BRCA homologation ... could just be me not looking hard enough though

If you want UK supplied lipos, we do the GP 2S 5000ma 28C Lipo at £52.99. It's hardcased, BRCA and EFRA legal and designed for Corally connectors.
Hope this helps, Dave Roundabout Toys http://www.roundabouttoys.com |

The Hyperion packs are, (all the carbon effect ones with yellow labels). In fairness, I'm sure some of the other packs will be approved for 2010 too. I have one of the 7.4V Thunderpower packs (the 5000mAh 40C pack), and it is excellent, has good punch. |

Those Yuntong cells look pretty good value.
Not sure about the legality though? Julius. |

I've just worked it out based on the packs in the Ebay advert link posted.....
By the time you factor in the postage, import handling fee (used £7 as a typical one) and then added import VAT to it I get £59.89 .... a quick look at Vampire cells of a similar spec on the DMS site and they are £59.99. When you consider the wait, the potential cost / issues with returns if needed and being 100% certain they will pass scrutinering at a BRCA meeting I think the 10p Darren is asking extra is perfectly fair!!!!! As always, I'll be buying mine from the UK should I decide to go LiPo |

I'm pretty sure they won't be an 'actual' 35C. There is a set way to measure the discharge rating - charge the pack, draw a large current from it and measure the voltage drop. The more reputable manufacturers will say that for continuous there should be no, or very little (like 0.05V) voltage drop per cell. For burst, someone like Thunderpower will say that the cell must not drop under 3.xV. If it does, then the level of current is dropped, and the test taken again. The burst or continuous rating is the charge that the cell can provide with a certain voltage drop allowed.
Since there are no set rules saying either continuous must remain at 3.7V/cell and burst at 3.4V/cell (for example), companies can pretty much set their own limits. This is why one '35C' cell may perform better than another '35C' cell. Personally, I don't believe that many car LiPOs are near to 40C - it seems that many have gone - "well, 36C, that's near enough to 40C - we'll call it 40C". It's all about marketing. Anyway... I'm pretty sure that they probably won't be 35C, in the same way as the LRP 40C cells probably won't be anywhere near 40C, and some other LiPOs won't be near whatever they claim. If you get your cells from a reputable manufacturer with a good warranty, you'll be happier, as they will have probably been more honest than someone less so, and even if they do go wrong, you have a nice warranty backing you up. |

Just bought these from hk for £42.00 each they come with deans already fitted thats one less hassle,i've only used them for on event but really impressed with the punch they give out, all in all cost me £92.00 for two postage included...that for 5000mAH at 40c can't really go wrong....
