Best suggestion is to send it off to the guys at Tekin and get them to have a look at it, service is pretty good so you shouldnt be without one for long.

just requested an RAN for three old Tekin RS Pro's that are fu.
Received the RAN, but in the mail it was also stated that ...
"IMPORTANT! Tekin will NOT accept International UPS Shipments
for service items."

... just to be certain: will it be OK if I send it with regular Belgian Post services?

If you guys are in Europe you can send it to Tekin Europe via RC Disco. You still need the service form, etc.

If you have ?'s hit up support@teamtekin.com

Whats a good setup (esc wise) for the 410 and the RS pro then?
Mine I think shut down and was real hot, too hot for my liking.
Had stock spur 20T 5.5T indoors.

I haven't checked all the settings yet will do that tomorrow and see if the timing isn't too high (whats high)

Thinking about going to a 6.5T and hopefully get the temps lowered.

5.5t is a bit high outdoors let alone indoors. Try a 6.5 and look at running around 50 advance with 23t pinion as a start off. Check your temps and then move on from there.

Main thing to check is what mode it is running in, sensored or dual mode.

Does tekin have a settings dump or something similar? A print out of my settings maybe? Or I guess its all a manual this this and that
Right lets see.

I was stumped about reversing the motor, as when I installed it squezzing the throttle gave reverse, couldn't reverse on the radio.

I've had a 6.5 Redline in my 410 alongside an RS Pro for about 2 years and never needed anything more

All your settings look sensible apart from having to reverse the motor, you should not need to do that. Do you have it soldered up right? Running it like that could mean you have negative timing on the motor depending where you have it set.

Are the diffs in the correct way (common problem on the 410 I believe) ?

Good call! Worth a check.

Also on the temps issue, do you have a fan in there? How is the badyshell cut? You'd need some good airflow through on a 5.5 I'd say.

No fan.
Diffs what side should the larger gear be on.
I have looking from the ass end. Rear LHS front RHS.

LOL looking at the manual now it should be opposite. Then I won't need to reverse the motor

There's your problem

I have a fan pointed at my RS Pro even with my 6.5, not because it is totally needed, but just because I can fit it in so i'd rather have it than not, no point getting things hotter than needed for no reason.

Still got pretty hot but could be with the 5.5, that may be the problem.

Northy you got a pic with your fan in? How did you mount it?

I downed the timing from 80 to 40 as well

I did have one in the 410 electric install thread but it's gone, I'll try and take another.

I have the fan sort of half on the sidepod, half on the radioplate at a bit of an angle. Hard to explain. Fits ok though with the old body still so would be even better with a body without the step in the side.

It's stuck in with shoe goo

I had some fun with next doors cat, I bought a RC Tiger tank that fires bb's. Just park near a bush, aim where the cats use and wait. You'll probably miss with the first couple but the cat will just look puzzled until you hit it! Then you have fun chasing it round the garden, the foolish cat tried to attack the tank by eating the gun barrel! Muzzle first, lol.......I didn't miss, it hasn't been back since!

for returning three ESC's to tekin. (problems after years of use)

I was pointed to the http://www.tekineurope.com/support.php -page.
Problem there: I need to fill in the Product part number.
.. but I can't find any number on my ESC's! (or am I supposed to open the ESC???)
What should I mark there?
FOrm won't be send if not completed.

Default Tekin RS

I need some help please.
Ive got a Tekin RS in my 22,and tonight at Silverstones fantastic new venue i had an issue when i turned the car on for the first time. If i pushed the throttle to full to test, it would be fine for about 2 seconds then drop down to around half speed and the lights would also drop down to around half way. Now i had this before and i needed to rebind the speedo and the transmitter together, i tried to do this but it didn't like the full forward position, i waited until the racing had stopped and did it again and it all worked fine. I went out to race, come back in at the end and then to marshall, when i came back i tried the car and the same thing again.
Now 1 thing i did notice was when i pushed full throttle the bind light on the RX dimmed down until i let go. Im running a sanwa 2.4 system but i have the Ansmann RX in the car, ive run these for around year or so with no issues, do you think it could be that ?

It may have been a coincident, but one attemp i moved the sensor wire and it worked and another i just left it switched on and kept trying it and it worked.

Anyideas, i thinking of trying another RX first.

Cheers

Ross
