Top Gear Mesh, How much??
Hey guys I like to know how much or is it possible to adjust the gear mesh on the slipper nut side? My gears are tight and look like they are causing the belts to run tight, not roll smooth. I have a pic to show how tight they are.
I believe I have on 33/23. Thanks

Double check the gear sizes, I've never had a problem running 23/33, and it shouldn't be tight.
Make sure you've got: 22/34 or 23/33 or 24/32

Ive found a 33t in a 32t packet so if its tight id do a manual count. Failing that check the shaft isnt bent,... I have heard people have bent these somehow.

I understand what gears go where, and what to use. I have counted many times and I am running 33/23 I just purchased the others to try out and see. But I just dont get it.
ANyone have pix of theres so I can see what I am doing wrong?? Also how can I check if the Shaft is bent?

I agree with Tom, with the right combo there is a little backlash. The only time i've had them tight is when i ran 1 tooth too many on one of the gears - can't remember which one, cos we didn't have any of the correct ones!
