Hi All,

Posting this for Trishbits.
Trish Neal needs his code for his Clio. Battery was disconnected and the code isn't in the book! Can anyone help?

Thanks

If you call up a Renault main dealer they can give you the code from the Reg No. Dependant on the dealer they can charge you a fee for this, but try P.M'ing showtime as i believe he works in a Renault garage and may be able to assist.

From my experience then each radio has its own unique code, which is aimed as a theft deterrent. The thinking being, if disconnected from the battery then it becomes useless to the thief without having the security code.

You can get the codes again, but only through the dealership and almost certainly at a cost.....

Got my smart car one from the dealer - they made it sound like it was hardwork but didn't charge so it's all good. I've written it on the radio in marker pen

I got a code calculator off the internet that worked with ford radios, just typed in the serial number and it gave out the code

Ive also had one for my BMW that worked in the same way.

May be worth a search around.

You can get the codes for most makes of cars off the tinternet for around a tenner. You will need to remove the stereo and get the serial number from it. Ive done it loads of times.
