Release date of 410R
Does anyone know when the less expensive version will be made available. I have seen the full fat version and can see why it costs what it does. I just have not got the funds
The durango is fantastic on every level. Apologies if this is posted elsewhere. |

I guess it is pretty lame to say this as a reply, and may not be welcome but...
Skip a couple of weekends of going out drinking, or save money elsewhere sell stuff on feebay, then pick up the current kit. It is worth every penny You wont regret it, why wait

Also, I think a molded chassis and ball diffs will make the buggy more forgiving and easier to drive because of the added flex. I've read about a lot guys having problems getting the car to settle down and drive smoothly. I have enough rc gear to start a hobby shop, so yes, I could sell some stuff and get the current version or just buy it. But that wasn't the intent of the query. |

in my opinion going to ball diffs is a backward step

In certain applications and on some tracks, it's my opinion that a molded chassis with more flex might make the car better. And, in some circumstances, lighter ball diffs may have a considerable advantage over the heavier metal gears. So, I have to respectfully disagree with your generalization.
Anyway, I'm not trying to argue with anyone on this or take anything away from the current version, I was just wondering if anyone knew about a release date or time frame for the budget version. Tough crowd in this thread |

Well you could buy the current kit and then buy the ball diffs and plastic chassis as tuning tools when they come out.

I actually agree with 4times on this one. Geared diffs isn't the b all and end all of the car. In some circumstances they can be a hindrance than a help.

but see below Quote:
mine is more consistant, reguires no maintanence of diffs, and they work as the car is getting good results, of road is not a restricted power class, a soft chassis can also hide a poor set up.......... thats my conclusion and a proven facts!

i don't now why they must bring out a cheaper version if you like this car, buy it, gear diffs with sillicon oil are the best, they last the longest i have a rc8te and this car has this kind of diffs to, it's a great thing that you can change the diffoil, it makes a lot of differents when tuning to different tracks
