Hey mate. Nice conversion. Ive done the same thing with the rear end of a b44. If you want to neaten it up you can get rid if the bottom half of the ansmann chassis and use these http://cmldistribution-uk.shptron.co...googleshopping to hold it instead There the exact same height from the top of the top deck to the chassis base. I'll get some pics so it makes more sense :P

I know what you mean mate i was strugling with the profile on the mill se i could bri g my chasiss all the way to the bulkhead but it will be sorted in the next on as now i have it mocked up i can laser scan the whole chasiss and cnc mill it all

They are a new Team C option part. They come with deeper spring cups too as some had issues with springs coming off the alloy versions.

I think ROAR were looking at implementing a rule that said the buggy had to accept a standard size stick lipo, don't know if it ever went live?

Either way, their rules obviously don't apply in the UK!

Rule 8.2.3
All chassis in all electric classes (except those specifically noted) MUST accept batteries up to the maximum dimensions allowed for its application. The legality of a chassis will be determined as presented to technical inspection. Chassis that require a configuration change, and/or a modification to fit a battery of maximum dimensions will not be considered legal, and the racer will be disqualified. Foam blocks/spacers are permitted to secure any size battery in its position, but the aforementioned spacers may never be attached to the chassis. The only exception is 1/8 off-road where it’s common to use two battery packs to achieve the maximum 4S configuration, or to use a single 4S battery, which has a different specification. Only under these circumstances will the fitting of either configuration be considered legal, but the production chassis must still conform to batteries of the maximum allowable dimensions.

There's an ocean between us and the States... and as far as my knowledge goes, they haven't sent any G.I.'s across to annexate Europe and say we can't use cars developed around shorty LiPos.

Plus, if regulations really start naggging about shorty developed cars, there's a simple solution: test it once with a LiPo cradle to hold to saddle packs stacked on each other and include it in the kit
