Default hobbywing software upgrading...?

Hi,
Just got a hobbywing non sensored speedo and motor for my 2wd. It came with version 1.63 software and as soon as loaded it onto the 'puter it said there's version 1.64. It tries to automatically download it, but then it comes up as failed to upload.

Anyone got any thoughts on why or places to check, or how to sort it?

Cheers

I have recently had the same problem, but got it to work after reading a thread on rctech.net.

Basically if you right click on the desktop icon and run as administrator it will update it ok. It worked for me, give it a try.

Default hobbywing download.

Hi.

If you are trying to update the esc you have to first update the programming box.

I'm guessing your downloading this...

http://www.hobbywing.com/upload/soft....64_111011.rar

In order for it to work you have to unzip the file first and put in folder on the desktop, then uninstall version 1.63 on your pc. I used winRAR to unzip it which you can get free.

Then you can install 1.64.

Once you done that, connect the programming box to pc with the usb connection and open hobbywing 1.64 and click on devices and then goto 2 in 1 programming box and click on that. you should be able to choose the latest firmware to update the box.

Once you done that connect the speedo to the box and switch it on. Goto devices and click on esc speed controller and then you can update the speedo.

Hopefully that should do it.

Thank you! The 'unzipping' of the RAR file and the uninstall of the old, followed by installing the new worked a treat!

Cheers...

Are you sure it is a non sensored speedo (= EzRun) because they are not upgradable; only the sensored ones (= XeRun) are upgradable.
Greetz.

Well, its def an ezrun 60A, 8.5t system with the programmer card.. And I've updated the actual software ok.. I realise that there may not be as much I can then 'do' with the software for the ezrun system... but it appears to have upgraded, and I've also got a bullistorm 120A system that I'm updating...
