Nice John I really like the super stocks shell. Tried a similar effect on a losi shell but My scalpel work wasn't on form. Tricky little shells to pain. Top marks. Hope to see you at torch soon when it warms up. My hips cant cope with the cold.

Cheers guys! Andy, sorry I missed your post mate, if you're still interested please drop me a PM and we can chat... Chef, know what you mean about the cold, murder on my knees, here's hoping we get a decent summer this year lol.
Here's todays up date, an 1/8th Mugen MBX-7 fresh out of the booth! The photo's don't show just how bright the yellow is... you're gonna see this one coming. The rest of the day's been spent designing and cutting mask ready to get spraying again tommorrow |

Cheers Ian! Yup, chromes a nightmare all round... worst to photograph and trickiest to paint
Best part of this shell is that the photo's were taken seven hours after I took delivery of it. Not my normal service, and why it's a little bit plainer than it might have been, but with Off-raod wars next weekend, my painting week is already full up |

You've done good mate, I couldn't turn stuff around that quick.
When I see you track side next I'll have a chat with you about the photography, see if I can help you out in any way with it. |

Cheers Ian, main issue at the moment is that I'm using my phone lol
Main camera is out of action ATM, need to get it sorted and then get some better photos... At some point I want to knock up a small light-box as well to even out the illumination which I think would help. |

Phones can take pefectly decent pictures if all you want to show the pictures on is the web. They'll probably print okay up to about A4 too.
Light tents and Boxes are okay, but not all their cracked up to be, that can flatted subjects off a lot but the illumination will be more even. |

Well after an enforced (car accident) enforced layoff, I'm finally back painting... here's an Aston SupaStox shell I've just finished up. I think the design is originally a Mike Parker, customer has two off road shells and wanted this one to match!

All masked up Mark, hoping to get started on them later next week!
For tonight, something clean and simple for Dan Brown's XB4... seems like a popular car, got a couple more waiting in line for people. Sat on the drier straight after completion, I'll shoot some better pictures later on. |

Painted a few shells with this scheme this year... this SV2 is probably my favorite so far. Actually got some half reasonable photos as well for once
And then there's a box replica of the DEX410R shell |

Some of my latest shells, starting with an SV2 shell for one of my regular customers...
And finally had time to do something for me, trying some new style... First up a Penguin shell for my FS2 SP And a cab forward shell for my SV2, a bit more traditional! Back logs is pretty small at the moment, so turn around is pretty quick, hit me up if you want some colour! |
