New GT12 Club -Norwich
Hi All,
I was able to visit EARCC (East Anglia Radio Control Car Club) in Norwich yesterday and it really is a great little club! They race GT12 class as well as touring cars on a PrimaFelt carpet area of approx10x20mwith a mixture of heavy rope and plastic piping for the track markers and AMB20 timing (with handout transponders). This track area, of course, makes it ideal for the GT12 class. Actually, it is the carpet that is the real asset for this club - it has to be one of the nicest surfaces I have ever run on. It was good grip right from the off and, while there was a slight shadow of a racing line by the end of the meeting, the track grip levels were extremely consistent all night. So, no nasty grip level change surprises between rounds - ideal for new and novice drivers to learn on. They run from around 5:00 to 9:30pm on the last three Sundays of the month and I highly recommend any GT12 drivers in the Anglia region to give them a visit. More details can be found on their website http://earccnorwich.wix.com/earcc Good luck guys, keep up the good work there and happy racing, James
