Ok at the momment the meeting is on thank god so we will finally get back to some racing its been that long i have forgotten which round of the championship we are on so see you at Leverton tommorow

As the title suggest here are Leverton's outdoor dates for 2010, with picture's of the new updated track for the season to follow.

The first outdoor meeting will be on Sunday the 2nd May doors open 2pm (No earlier please doors will not be open)First race 3pm classes will be buggies 2 & 4wd Touring car and Mardave/Mini running to standard rules only.

PIT BITZ CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES, CLASSES AND RULES FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP

23RD MAY RND 1
4th JULY RND 2
22ND AUG RND 3
2 FROM 3 TO COUNT

format will be 3 rounds qualifying Round by Round 4 Finals 3 to count

TOURING
13.5 Any rubber allowed any motor up to 13.5 or 27 brushed
10.5 Any rubber allowed any motor up from 13.5 or 19 brushed
BUGGIES
2WD Schumacher mini spike & Ballastic buggy mini spike any motor
4WD As above
MARDAVE
Running to standard mardave rules motors allowed Tamiya silver can, Tamiya black can, Mardave G2 (brushed motor), Much More 20T, HPI Saturn 20T. any rubber/foam tyres allowed one cell lipo will also be allowed Supadaves can run but points will not be counted in the Championship.
MINI
all two wheel drive chassis can run including RWD, motors as per Mardave class lipo's are permitted any rubber allowed. No speed sets no ball diffs original diffs only, grease to be used in the geared diffs NO BLUE TACK OR PUTTY ETC 4WD Minis can run but points will not be counted in the Championship.

PLEASE NOTE WE NEED AT LEAST 5 IN A CLASS TO MAKE A CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS, OTHERWISE YOU MAY BE JOINED WITH ANOTHER CLASS.

Its going to be HOT
I do not think you are going to need tyre warmers for this one.
Hope to see you all tommorow remember we are running Touring car Mardave/Mini and buggies

Default WEATHER UPDATE

Mainly cloudy through out the day maybe the odd light shower becoming heavier into the evening it will not be to bad if puddles do not form.
So we will be starting at 3pm maybe early if we can do it, breaks will be kept to a miniumum so if your not on the line we still run as time will be tight today we will try to get 2 qualiys and 2 finals.

WE WILL RUN ON SUNDAY EVEN THOUGH WE WILL BE PLAYING GERMANY 3PM KICK OFF. I JUST NEED AN IDEA ON NUMBERS SO IF YOU COULD REPLY TO THIS SAYING WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING THIS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. Default CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Sunday Rnd 5 Club Championship
Doors open at 2pm racing starts for 3pm
Last meeting before a bit of a break the next meeting will be the 4WD Regional. So after this meeting the track will be closed to all until the Regional on the 8th of August to get it ready for the meeting so no PRACTICE.

Just a quick question... What are the best tires to run on this track I've heard ballistic pink but don't think they will last long

Yellow Mini spikes in the dry! If it rains ballistic green or pink! I ran in very heavy rain the other month and found ballistic greens worked ok! If you want a little more rear bite in the wet pinks should be a little better!

is the astro thick pile and is it very sandy (Eastrax is very sandy)?

is it a bumpy or smooth surface?

It ant astro there is no sand but there is some very bumpy sections! its more like carpet than astro! I believe the entire tarmac is being coved to so it should all be the same surface! The table top has been removed since the photos and replaced with a bumpy section! Also think the down slope on the double and single have been improved!
