Some say his eyes are calibrated so he doesnt need a camber gauge and some say he can smell the weight of shock oil all we know is his names Jim Dixon.

oOple should have a stig for reviewing RC cars round an oOple circuit ! Call him the styg (copyright and all that? )

i think he also totalled his ride in every race he competed in. Ukyo Katayama is a true legend of F1. Rob, remember my Katayama keyring i had?? YES!!

I don't think its Herbert, he's too short....after his accident at brands.The Stig always seems quite tall.

I understand the main reason for the Stig's disguise is so the producers can use different drives to cater for racing and other commitments, also as mentioned to allow company test drives to post lap times without raising suspicions. I have been told by some quite reliable sources that amongst others Nicolas Minassian has fulfilled the role on a number of occasions, both black and white. There were some quite in depth threads on pistonheads.com on this exact subject.
