One of the LiFe batteries is 70C ffs!! Anyone got an estimate of what motor would be needed to counteract the lower voltage?

Tempted to try a 3.5 or similar with a LiFe pack in 2wd..

Some interesting names "missing" from the list too....... may surpirse a few racers who have brought in advance!

Is it me, or are the lists HUGE this year and full of some brands we have never even heard off too.

They are, and they are!!

Size creep too, especiall on height of cells!

Think I know why one brand is missing, surprised about some others having no new cells!

I cant see these cells offering a significant advantage on the track over my 2009 cells.
Its my first year of doing nationals (hopefully - if I get in), and Im happy with the pace of my car with my 30C 4200mah Demon cells.
Obviously theres more power available from these 2010 cells... but Im not sure it'll drop my lap times by much, unless these national tracks have huge straights....
am I right?

Or do I need to fork out for an LRP 50C pack?

I seriously doubt it, there's so much spare mah that I'd have thought you can make sure you have all the power you ever need without dumping through motors/settings etc!

I did buy a set. I read on here somewhere that they had applied to be on it. I wonder why they are not on there, must be a reason.

you are completely right, in off-road you don't even use the fastest motors available. as long as you know your packs are reliable then you will be fine.

Im pretty sure ive had the fastest car on the track at a few nationals and didn't win with it

Remember Consistency not speed is better, although speed does help a bit
