I think this was an upgrade for the Alpha and 2000 (which was an Alpha) and the shell came with a gear cover as well. I have done a bit of homework on this and for a short period this was available but wasnt in the shops long.
The shell appears not to be an exact perfect fit hence why the slot is where it is so the battery can be replaced without the need of taking the shell off. Weird it is and appears to be no logic behind it either. Keith at Kamtec said that hopefully the tomcat mold will be finished by Friday. Then he will spend a bit more time on the ZXR shell. It made sense as the tomcat was new and undamaged and the ZXR is a bit so more time is needed to make the mold perfect. Still good news.

Iso, hold fire on that as he has a lot on for a small bisiness. Once he has done the tomcat shell and hopefully the zxr shell thats a bit damaged and still causing issues he can finish that so we have a few to choose from. He should have time for one more. Maybe then if interested you could send to him. I will keep chasing him for updates.

This buggy is definitely a Zx-rr with gear diffs. There are a lot of things that confirm that: - hyper clutch - long upper deck with shorter motor plate - ultimate shocks - moulded wing - front and rear shock towers @ sparrow.2 Really a nice car , for sure 100% kyosho original. Do you have also the original body ? Bye Ema |

ZXR Clone for sale
No Way... I wouldnt put stock in that being an absolutely, Postitively 100% GENUINE ZXR. If it was a ZX or ZX Sport with the ZXR Parts (Probably off Ebay) I would beleive it. If he comes foward to defend his claim, then thats a different story..

Gear diffs are great. I made the UK indoor national finals A with gear diffs in my ZX my tub chassis ZX (OK was basically an ZXR) and was rather good. I found it better on high grip surfaces. I used a 14 Single Shark Attack (at that time my motor sponser) with 23 pinion, 100 spur and was much quicker on the infield than most of the cars. I normally used a 10 double corally on the same ratio.
I still think that this is one of the best and most fun I have ever had with a buggy. It is so much fun to drive and thats half the battle finding the car that ticks all the boxes.

Lazer CLone for Sale
Wow Ema. You Even drew me a picture. LOL. Thank you. Too many things wrong with that lazer.. Wrong Wing(Not Molded) Looks like a Kyosho Burns wing, Wrong Shocks--Probably Losi, and Gear Diffs instead of Ball DiffsAnd what about his Missing Body? Best wishes to him. He still hasnt come foward for any description..At all. Where he got it? What parts he built it with? What did he do with the Ball diffs? Thats the best part of the Transmission! 30-50 US dollars each!Market price. I remember with the Lazer first came out in the states everyone was making a ZXR Clone!
Good luck to hime anyways. |

Guys this is a zxr with equaliser shocks, hyper clutch, standard car and ok like me i replaced the ball diffs with gear as they suited the high grip environment i raced on such as carpet. Worth buying and isnt a bits and pieces job.

Good grief I had no idea my add would cause such uproar
I can say one thing... I have absolutely no idea about the car. I picked it up exactly as it is in a job lot sale off someone clearing out his garage with the intention of sticking it on a shelf and giving it the occasional prod. There is no bodyshell to go with it but everything else on the car apart from the front shock mount/gearbox half looks like it has hardly been run. As for the car being a fake?!? The shock are certainly not Losi. Been running Losi shocks since 93 and they look nothing like those. The wing is deffo original kyosho as I remember wanting that exact wing as a kid and having to make do with the cheap fastrax one cause my pocket money wouldn't strech Now does anyone want to buy this thing or do you all want to nerd over it some more |
