I would like to congratulate Craig Collinson for his excellent result at the Petit RCcultural race today.

With a good team work between us two we managed to nail the setup on his car and get the very sought after 10th spot in the A final.

With the corner table top causing big pile ups in the first laps, craig couldn't really make the most of it, but still managed to get a 7th and two 9th in the 3 legs finals to get 9th overall.

Well done to him for his excellent driving, you made me proud

Ive emailed my set ups to Arno so should be up on petit at some point..

Car went really well for me.. Qualified in the D Final with Fab.. and beat him! lol!

Made small changes throughout the day which made it better for every run! This car has been transformed with the saddle conversion...

i raced my MCS this weekend and have a question.
My car went very well until a ball-end broke off. It was the inner ball-end of the rear camberlink.
It broke at the threads. Luckely I always cut a slice in the bottom of the thread-part and I was able to simble screw the broken-off end out with a small screwdriver.
I also checked the other side and that ball-end was loose also. No problem there, just a question of using some threadlock, I guess ... but the next heat, after being repaired with a new ball-end an the proper washer (3mm) the car drove differently. The car had more rear-grip and so I missed steering.
I guess the car had been loose due to the slightly loose ball-ends ... which was good for the balance but bad for the ball-ends , hence the breaking
.
My question: how do I get that balance back? How do I loose some of that rear-grip that I now experienced with the 3mm-shimmed ball-end?

thx.

you can do many things

first you could add more washers under that ball stud (but you may not have enough thread in the holder after that), you will have a similar but not identical effect if you lowered the outer ball stud.

Or you could add a rear roll bar

Or you could add some shims under the rear hinge pins holders (under both of them the same amount to keep the same kick up).

For the setups, it'll have to wait until the end of the week, I'm travelling tomorrow and will send both the staggers and the mini pins setups to Arn0 asap.

Just wanna say a massive thanks to Fabs for his excellent support, knowledge and set up advise throughout the weekend. Couldnt have made the A without him.

We had some bad luck in the early rounds, should have been in the A after round 2 but lady luck didnt seem to be on our side. The car was dialled all day which allowed me to push hard in the last round of qualifying and back door the A.

As Fabs said the finals were difficult on such a tight and technical track, but lap times showed the pace of the car was right up there.

Craig

Hey guys,

what's the difference when driving the saddlepack-layout?

And, Fabs, is it possible to order such a sadle-kit? Quanta costa?
and the same about the gearboxes: is it possible to order one (or two?)
