Forgot to ask what endbell timing to run on a redline 10.5 in blinky mod and what to run when in mod mode and what difference it makes ?
Ta.

kartstuffer

read this
http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire/ESC..._10.5_v212.pdf
you may need to go up one tooth on the pinion or use smaller spur due to difference in tyre size between USA clay tyres and our smaller Astro/Grass tyres

and look in off-road here

Cheers for that ,but my problem is i have done all that and tried Randys 10.5 set up and it seems only to start working at the end of the straight when im going for the brakes.
My problem is i dont know what timing, boost ,turbo all are supposed to do or what the car is supposed to do when i adjust it.
It just dosent feel any quicker.
When i put Randys 10.5 set up on my 210 with an RS and LRP 10.5 with the 4 dot insert the difference was huge.????
Just dosent do the same on the 410 with an RS Pro & redline 10.5.
In blinky mode they are both very quick for 10.5 motors and will have no probs running the 210 in mod class..

How big is your track? Where are you geared. Timing boost comes in smoothly with no real "hit" so if the car is "rushing" at the end of the straight something is off.

Hi Randy
My problem is probably that when i put a set-up on the esc with the hotwire i don`t understand what everything does.
( too many options for a relative beginner)
I feel if i knew exactly what happens when i move the sliders i would know what to do,all who are trying to help just tell me to try this set up but i want to know how to do it myself and understand what does what.
track is at oople.com/rc/photos/2011winter-race-ireland/
410 geared at 23/87 with your 10.5 set up on it and power comes on strong near the end of the straight ( 21 sec lap time)
Thanks
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Take a look at the below link, some of the screenshots maybe slightly different as its an older firmware but the basic principles are the same.

Cheers

Cheers mate for the link ,Havent had a close look yet but i think this is what i need.
Do you have to reset the radio calibration to the esc after changing anything ?
Maybe this is where i went wrong.?

I would recommend recalibrating after a firmware update, but not a settings change.

I can get to the tekin website fine. works ok here.

I've also been trying to get registered on the tekin forum to ask a technical questions. You have to get approval when you register to then be able to post, but i never get approved?

Do you have motor recommended gearing charts online for the redline range. I didn't get one with my motor. Was I meant to?

Different software for 1:10 offroad and onroad?
2.23 vs 2.12 ?

(I only upgrade firmware once a year lol)

no mate, I use 223 in my 2wd buggy and found it smoother but more top end.

hi
my rspro got water inside during a race
afterwards I dried it for 2days on the central heating
now all looks fine servo works, lights on esc work, but no chime sounds and no throttle response
(I switcht the rs pro with my other rs esc and that works fine, so I can exclude motor and transmitter problems)
any idea how I can fix this, or does this means the esc is dead ?

Is it connected to a motor? It won't 'arm' if not.
