Default 2Wd Cut Staggered ribs

Hi All,

I was just wondering if the general thing was to not run inserts in cut staggered ribs for 2wd. I know with my normal ones I dont run the inserts but I wondered if people do the same with the cut version.

Thanks

For the low profile cut staggers, no inserts for me. They are the same profile, just with cuts in the tread.

the low profile cut stagger doesn't need an insert,

the higher profile cut stagger does.

Have the "higher" profile cut staggers now been discontinued and only the low profiles are available?

I also heard they were stopping the normal cut staggers and just continuing with low profile
is this true?

Yes cut staggers are no more I believe, Robin schumacher was at silverstone car club last week, there is a problem with the tooling and it will not be being replaced due to costing so the rumour goes anyway

I think there has been some confusion here.

It is the original (uncut) low profile stagger ribs (U6592) that have been discontinued and replaced with low profile cut staggers (U6770). It was the old stagger rib tool that was getting tired and therefore replaced with the cut stagger version.

The high profile cut staggers (U6759) are still available and there are no plans to stop them as far as I know - we had some delivered this week!

Shame, as I find the old stagger a good choice when the cut stagger has too much grip.

Would Green low pro cut staggers give the same grip as yellow non cut staggers?

I got a pair of greens, new in packet from Castle models, at the Oople race. He had some more left in green and blues (for shelf queens). The greens run great at Batley actually on a damp day with my B4.1.
