just out of interest, i overheard someone at my club (southport) saying that team xtreme were looking to "sponsor/support" however you want to put it, one of our meetings? not sure on any details ie regional, national etc, just wanted to know if its at all true?

Thanks Tom

It was my first time out with the aero as well, if you dont count southport last weekend and 2 batley test days, i had also never raced at worksop either if you dont count saturdays

Cool report though, watch out jimmy.

Oh and i think someone is angry, they wrote in black instead of orange

Im sure Team Extreme are pleased with the contribution of all their team drivers. Its no different to the CAT SX in respects of Ed running quietly indoors. I have done testing with the Cat (not for 'ages') yet as far as I was concerned Sunday was its first competitive outing. Would of been crazy to put the car out having never run it at all.

Ed is a quick driver and although a difficult day (i was ref'ing his heat at times) still showed glimses of the car being capable.

In the right hands in the old days ? Ie Sloppy /Moore / Mitcham and a few other top names the Pred was the one to try and keep up with at worksop ! I ran a Mitch 98 back then and as long as there wernt to many big jumps you could clean up on the flat stuff ! It was like a good touring car.
In heat 2 on Sunday there were a couple of preds the one that was really quick could pull 3-6 M on me on the flat corners he just struggeld a little with the table top and the small double single.
Driving a pred I think is still the same you drive it like you stole it on the flat stuff but you only give it 80% on the rough stuff !

And back then you had to worry about stripping diffs etc etc ! You used to have 2-3 diffs pre built for each meeting. All that has been sorted now! With the right track and the right hands I dont think much could keep pace with a pred !

" cant belive I just said that But I loved that car just couldnt afford back then to keep running one ! "

and thats having driven most Cats/Yoko/Losi/ etc etc .

Keep at it GUYS !

Thanks bondy,

You should come back to the Pred. They are very wallet efficient when it comes to running one.

No really it's nice to see some decent comments... at last

I would have loved to have run one of these cars at the nationals but the opertunity did not arise. I think team xtream are doing a fantastic job and they are a british company, with the new cat the future I hope is good for british racing good look all the team xtream drivers for this season.

thanks guys for the kind words

Bondy, you should get another pred, the X11s are really good cars; very smooth, and nice to drive.
