Default Durango DEX410 - Teaser shots

Team Durango released some teaser photos of their amazing-looking upcoming electric 4WD buggy, the DEX410 - the long awaited 'Durango' production car. The buggy is now slated for release around the end of June '09 but more details will appear over the next few weeks.

The shots (below) show the gear boxes with sealed gear differentials that can be tuned to track conditions.

Companies interested in distribution or retail of Team Durango products should contact sales@team-durango.com"

There's no final price set - but the designer said they were looking at ~400euro

1/8th scale rallycross diff's in an electric 1/10th buggy

Glad I kept all my diff oils when I sold my Losi 8ight earlier this year.

Only problem I can see is weight, oil filed diffs are heavy and very time consuming to change at the meeting!

but looks good though!!

560 us dollars. yikes. i think the only thing this car has going for itself are the sealed diffs. plus the stories of the associated factory drivers with the prototypes isn't going help sell this car.

EUR 400.-?! That's approx 180.- less than I expected, way cheaper than a TRF501X here in Germany. If it was not overkill for the stock motors I use and need saddle packs, I'd say I'll definately get one, but the way it is, I've got to consider things carefully. I'll need a small ESC, saddle lipos, another servo...and some towels to wipe that drool away!

the prototype had an aluminium chassis, the car on the shelf will have a plastic or carbon chassis.

Won't that affect the performance? I other words, will the Durango meet the abilities the prototype had?

Aluminium Chassis with perfect weight distribution
Quick release battery mount (Sub-C/LiPo)
Easy access metal gear differentials
Quick release spur-gear
Adjustable vented slipper clutch
Rubber shock & driveshaft boots
