I don't get it, where's the fun unless you involve the numbers?

Big ups to solidworks... I think you should differentiate between game moddeling and real CAD stuff... Solidworks is exact... Maya is... for show

I think the HPI Hellfire SS demo on their site uses renderings straight from Solidworks.

I LUVE Solidworks... unfortunately I can't use it on daily basis It's not my 'real' job

Hi Jimmy,

I do 3D stuff fulltime, going from product viz to commercials. Use rhinoceros, 3ds max and photoshop + after effects.

Wow, I wish I'd gone into 3d design instead of following the print design route. We only ever did 'normal' designing for logo's and posters etc.
Is it dificult to do? or is it as simple a using 2d design programs and just adding an extra plain to work on?

Some of the stuff is awesome on here, it'd be nice to see more peoples work though.

getting a 3D application and getting a nice simple shape and making a pretty render is fairly easy and intuative to pick up.

doing what Andy has done is just another level that many people will never acheive, its the details and realism that are an art to do.
