Default Cougar SV Body?

Not that long ago i built my Cougar SV for the new season. I have sent off the bodyshell to be painted. But before this i tried to fit the body and i can't seem to fit it because of the gear cover that is built in on the body. Anyone have a trick or anything they have done to solve this?

If you not have the +8mm chassis: then you have to cut/dremel a bit of the rear end of the cover. A cut/dremel off the front end will also help.

Can post photos later if wanted

Pics would great if you don't mind it is a standard 2011 Cougar SV. Does this effect the rules can i still run brca events with the gear area trimed?

Hi Rob, the Cougar 2011 spec comes with the standard chassis (not the +8mm one).
But you're right, it's not that easy to fit the body especially because of the rear end...
There was a video somewhere on internet that show you the method to put on the body...
I personnally cut a little bit of the rear of the body (on the spur area) to help, and there are no problem at all.

Otherwise, you can buy the longer chassis
